Use the Similar Companies feature. Choose one company you already like, and ReachStream finds a list of similar companies. Each result shows a short reason in plain English explaining why it matched.
This is not a
keyword search. You are saying, "find me companies that look like this
one", and ReachStream does the matching for you.
ReachStream compares the company you choose (called the seed company) with every other company in its database on four traits:
|
Trait |
Example |
|
Industry |
Logistics & Freight |
|
Company size |
250–500 employees |
|
Location |
Austin, Texas, USA |
|
Technology used |
NetSuite, Salesforce |
There are three ways to start. All of them lead to the same results.
1. Open the Prospect Search page. The Filters panel is on the left.
2. Find the "Similar Companies" section. It sits between "Company Name or URL" and "Employee Size", with a purple accent and a "NEW" badge.
3. Enter the company. Type the company name (for example, "Meridian Logistics"), or paste its website URL (for example, "meridianlogi.com"). If you type a name, a dropdown shows matching companies, and the best match has an "Exact match" badge. If you paste a URL, ReachStream finds the matching company automatically.
4. Select the company. Click it in the dropdown. A confirmation pill shows the company name, and the "Find Similar Companies" button turns purple.
5. Click "Find Similar
Companies". Results usually load in under 3
seconds.
1. Find the radar icon. On any company row, look in the "Company Options" column, next to Quick View and the download button.
2. Click the radar icon. The search starts right away, and the results load in the same
table.
1. Open Quick View. Click "Quick View" on any company row. A side panel shows its industry, size, location, and tech stack.
2. Review the details. These are the traits ReachStream will use to find matches.
3. Click "Find
Similar". This works the same as the radar
icon.
• Narrow the list. Use the normal filters (Location, Employee Size, Industry, and so on). This is optional.
• Save them. Select companies with the checkbox on each row, then click "Add to list" to save them to an existing or new list.
• Export them. You can export to CSV or Excel.
• Start a new search. Every result row also has the radar icon. Click it on any result to
start a new similarity search from that company.
Saved companies behave like any other company in ReachStream Prospect, with the same export, outreach, and enrichment.
Similar Companies is available on every plan, including Free, and there is no limit on the number of searches you can run.
The company may
not be in the ReachStream Prospect database. Try the website URL instead. If
neither works, the company is not yet in our data.
I passed the URL and nothing came up.
The domain may
not match any company in the database. Try searching by name instead. If you
believe the company should be in ReachStream Prospect, contact support.
How fast is it, and how many results will I get?
Results usually
load in under 3 seconds. If it takes a little longer, you will see an animated
loading state.
Can I use Similar Companies on the Contacts tab?
Yes. Start a
new search with the same company. Either type its name or paste its website in
the Similar Companies filter or click the Find Similar Companies
icon on its row.
