How do export credits work?

How do export credits work?

Export credits are used when you download data from ReachStream, such as contacts, phone numbers, and company data. Searching and viewing profiles do not use export credits.

Each plan comes with a set number of export credits. This article explains how many credits each type of export uses, how many credits your plan includes, and how to export your data.

How many credits does an export use?

What you export

Credits used

Notes

A contact with an email address

1 credit per contact

Credits are used only for valid, verified emails.

A phone number

10 credits per phone number

A contact exported with both email and phone uses 1 + 10 = 11 credits.

A company

1 credit per company

Applies when you export companies.

What is the difference between export credits and email credits?

• Export credits are used when you download contact lists or company data into a CSV file or sync them to your CRM.

• Email credits (also called email views) are used to view verified email addresses in the ReachStream platform or the Chrome extension.

They are counted separately. Your plan includes an amount of each.

How to export contacts

1. Log in and open your dashboard. Use the filters on the left to describe who you are looking for, such as job title, industry, and country.

2. Apply your filters. Click "Apply filters" to see matching contacts. Set the number of contacts you want and click apply to generate your list.

3. Add contacts to a list. Select the contacts you want and click "Add to List". Choose an existing list or create a new one by naming it and saving.

4. Open your saved list. Go to "Saved Lists" on your dashboard and select the contacts you want to export.

5. Click "Verify & Download". ReachStream Prospect first checks the selected contacts in real time to make sure the data is accurate. When verification is complete, your file is ready to download.

How to export companies

1. Choose Company as the data type. This shows companies instead of individual contacts.

2. Apply your company filters. You can filter by industry, technology, employee size, revenue size, and location.

Troubleshooting and common questions

Does searching or viewing profiles use export credits?

No. Searching and viewing contact and company details do not use export credits. Credits are used when you export.

What if an email fails verification?

ReachStream uses export credits only for valid, verified emails. Contacts whose emails do not pass verification are not counted as email exports.

Do unused credits roll over?

No. Credits reset at the start of each billing cycle, so unused credits do not carry over.

I'm out of export credits. What can I do?

You can wait until your credits are reset at the start of your next billing cycle, or upgrade to a plan with more credits. To upgrade, contact your account manager or our support team.

Do Chrome extension exports use credits?
Yes. Exports through the Chrome extension use the same export credits as your Prospect plan, so the amounts in the plan table above apply. Business and Enterprise plans are the exception, because they include unlimited data downloads through the Chrome extension.

Does this apply when I sync contacts to my CRM?

Yes. Export credits are used whether you download a CSV file or sync your data directly to your CRM.
